Tour Plan for Nine Days and Eight Nights - November to April Day 1: Reach Corbett National Park from Delhi Day 2: To reach the Durgadevi gate through a jeep drive from hotel. This exclusive safari will take you through the complete stretch of nearly 16 Kms through Ramganga valley to Lohachaur. It is actually a forest rest house of constructed during British times. Take your lunch served to you at Domunda. It is the meeting point of the mighty rivers Ramganga and Mandal. After lunch, you will trek up to the Mandal valley to visit the hill tribe 'chunars'. This tribe will impress you with their beautiful carving on the pots made out of wood. Come to Lohachaur by the evening. Take overnight stay in the forest tents or rest house. Day 3: Day Three Lohachaur to Kanda Leave early in the morning along with Mandal River. Mandal River here is a part of north boundary of Corbett tiger reserve. You're your breakfast on the route. After breakfast you will travel through small villages and scraps of thick Sal forest. Reach to Maidavan chowki. Here you will get your Lunch. After lunch, come to Kanda through jeeps in the highest forest rest house of the Corbett Tiger reserve. The view from Kanda is superb as it is on the height of about 1100 meters. Located on the top of the ridge on the Shivalik range, Kanda can offer you breathtaking view of Dhikala chaur and Ramganga reservoir. Stay overnight in the forest rest house or tents. Day 4: Kanda to Dhikala and back Game drives early in the morning to the national park with breakfast packed along with. Take your lunch at Dhikala. The evening game drives back towards Kanda. Rest overnight in tents or forest rest house. Day 5: Kanda to Mundiapani Get up early in the morning and start your tour on jeeps to Rathuadhab forest rest house. Here you will get to meet the Elephants and Mahouts. Take your breakfast at Rathuadhab. Further on the tour you will take ride on the elephant and reach to Mundiapani Forest Rest house. Take overnight stay in the forest rest house. Day
6: Mundiapani to Gujjar Dera or Palain Valley Take early morning ride
on the elephant towards Palain valley. Have breakfast at the Vatanvasa gate.
After breakfast you will proceed on upstream by the side of the Palain River.
Reach to the Gujjar dera by the time of lunch. Rest of your afternoon will
be spent with Gujjars. The Gujjars are a semi nomadic tribe actually the
most important tribe in the area. Rest overnight at Gujjar dera in tents.Day 7: Gujjar Dera to Haldupardao Take early morning downstream ride on the elephant along the Palain River towards the Haldupardao Forest rest house. Witness the pure Elephant country and expect to see the elephant herds for sure besides other animals in your tour ride. Reach to Haldupardao Forest rest house by afternoon. After lunch, take a game drive to the Sonanadi wildlife sanctuary. This is a buffer sanctuary to Corbett National Park. Have overnight rest in forest rest house or tents.
